What is this about and who am I?

In this moment — with all the healing our world needs — I believe community-based support has never been more important. For a long time, I felt unsure of how I could help others or what path to take. But I’ve always felt like I’m part of something deeper: a tribe, a system of connection, that seems to have faded from our lives. I feel it inherently, and it calls me to act.

I think especially of the youth. Our most vulnerable deserve better. But for a while, I wasn’t sure how to show up for them in a way that felt authentic. After all, who am I to lead young people? I’m just a super introverted, sometimes inappropriate, non-traditional Mom and Grandma who works, takes care of her family, keeps her head down, and tries to enjoy life as much as she can. 

But my desire to give has grown stronger than ever. 

That desire, paired with my belief that young people are largely missing access to trusted, experienced guidance from elders who genuinely care, is what led me to start this program. 

My Aunties Circle exists to bridge that gap — to offer whatever wisdom I and others like me can share. We’re not claiming to be experts. We invite you to take what resonates, leave what doesn’t, and let go of the habits that are holding you back. Our meetings are casual and real, so if you bruise easily or offend quickly, this probably isn’t for you. But if you feel called to join, we promise to listen, laugh with you, cry with you, and give you advice led by lived experience.
